This summer I took a road trip through Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. While in Wyoming I went to the Buffalo Bill Cody museum and in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks I saw buffalo, bear, antelope and moose.
Montana has been on my “to do” list for awhile. About Montana John Steinbeck said: “It seems to me that Montana is a great splash of grandeur. The land is rich with grass and color, and the mountains are the kind I would create if mountains were ever put on my agenda – I am in love with Montana, for other states I have admiration, respect, recognition, even some affection, but with Montana it is love, and it’s difficult to analyze love when you’re in it.”
Even though I didn’t experience her full potential due to all the forest fires (not much visibility in “Big Sky Country” this summer), with it’s amazing scenery, interesting small towns and friendly people, I agree with Steinbeck – Montana represents the best of America.
